SGT x IDBM Advanced PBL Student Challenge

MUMBAI – Sustainable Urban Communities in India (5 ECTS)

Take your learning experience to a next level! This summer Aalto SGT x IDBM organizes a special field study course in Mumbai India as part of the PBL South Asia project. Five students from Aalto are selected.

The student challenge focuses on sustainable communities and built environment. Tentative themes include housing development and slum rehabilitation schemes focusing on architectural, construction sustainability, land use and rehabilitation aspects. The final focus is defined together with the organizing partners.

Field study period: 19 – 30 August 2019

Venue: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, India

Cost: Fully sponsored

Additional contact teaching days for Aalto students:

14 August – 5 September – 19 September

WHO CAN APPLY?

Anyone with previous experience in student projects in developing countries (PBL East Africa, PBL South Asia, IDBM Industry Project (development project), SGT Studio course, Interplay of Cultures Studio, CS Capstone (development project) or similar experience.
